The end of my day / night :)
Ok ... so now to pick up on yesterday where I left off ...

At about three or so, I parted ways for the day :( and met up with my friend Lisa. We were going to Lexington to see Rascal Flatts in concert :oD .. We left at 4ish, went by the liquor store (of course), and began the journey.

We got into Lexington about 5ish, ran into a little traffic, and quickly found our way to Rupp Arena.

Aside from the fact that it is home to the Kentucky Wildcats, which are an ok team that I typically watch, but are not my favorites as I have lots o' loyalty and love for my CARDS, the convertion center was very impressive.

I, of course, had to photograph the home of my 2004 F.E. exam. Now that I now I passed the damn test, I kinda like that place .. lol.

So we parked, picked up the tickets, and found that we had a decent amount of time to kill. The Lexington Convention is crazy... it had a mini mall sitting in the middle of it .. who would have figured?!?! Anyway, we ate, listened to some country band and walked around.

I, of course, had to take a picture of me giving the finger to a Rupp Arena sign. We could not find one that was short enough that I could reach, or in an area that was not surrounded by other people, so I ended up using a sign on the directory kiosk as my photo opportunity.

On the way in the security guards are checking purses and clothing for various things. Of course, I had a flask tucked into my jeans and Lisa had hers hidden within the sleeve of her jacket. I think this thing I had was a 20 ounce flask, or something crazy, because I wanted enough to last through the concert. So luckily my jeans are getting to be a little big on me, because I was able to tuck it nicely in the front of them ... well, not really nicely or comfortably, but you get the point! Anyway, if I was not wearing my coat I would have looked like a guy with elephantitis and a leaning problem .. lmao! So we are in line and I realize that the guards are making you show your belt line ... crap!! I'm thinking about how embarassed I'd be when I, at 30, would get caught trying to sneak alcohol into a concert. So I slowly use the pocket of my coat to raise the flask up where the jacket is all but stopping it from falling to the ground. Mind you that about 30 minutes prior, we were walknig through the mini mall part, and some lady points out that I had just dropped something. We turn around to see the darm flask laying in the floor .. lmfao!! Anyway, I get to the guy and he goes through the routine. Open your purse, raise your pant legs, and now open your jacket because he needs to see the whole belt line ... shit!! Well I kinda stalled on the purse part acting like I could not get the darn thing to close, and then was stalling on the pant leg part as much as I could. So by the time I'm exposing the belt line, I've been there for a minute. So I smile so innocently and ask.. can I just raise my jacket up and show you the belt line? He looks and me and agrees.. whew! So I raise it up just enough to show the belt line everywhere, and then just barely where the alcohol was. Thank goodness!! I would have been so embarassed!! Lisa is behind me giggling, and the guard thinks he's giggling at the isssues I was having with the purse and such. He just said why are you laughing, you have to do this too? It was a pretty funny moment, and could have been pretty freakin embarassing!!

Anyway, we went in to the concert area, and discovered we had some kick ass seats!! We ended up being 5 rows back from the center stage. How sweet is that!!!

The first guy who played was Keith Anderson. He was hot as crap... OMG! Lisa warned me but I had no idea! Sadly, the eye candy only played for about 20 minutes and then he was done. Darnit if I would have known I would snapped 100 shots of that sexy thing! He reminded me of about half the guys I've dated... all big and tall and pretty and ... mmmmmm!!! So of course I enjoyed him, and could enjoy him more if only I had the chance ... he he ;o)

Next was Blake Shelton. He was pretty good too, especially considering that I'm not a country music fan. He had a great voice and he ended up playing a little over a half hour.

Finally, Rascal Flatts came on. They were incredible!! Luckily I had my camera. Poor Lisa had only a 16mb memory card in her camera, so I was in charge of taking most of the pictures. Got some pretty nice ones too. Check them out (www.flickr.com/photos/joschmoblo).

The concert ended up being great and our seats made it even better!

Once the concert ended, we made our way back to Louisville. We ended up getting into town about 12:30 or 1 I guess, and I jumped in my car and made the journey across town and came back home. Back to my nice and warm bed, which was even more exciting after being in and out of cold weather all night!

Overall the day was great!!
